I.S. militants storm energy facilities northern in Iraq, kill five

Islamic State militants have stormed two energy facilities in northern Iraq killing at least five workers and shutting down a major oil pumping station.
Large columns of fire and smoke could be seen rising at one of the installations, as Kurdish peshmerga soldiers and fire fighters arrived to secure the site
.
The first attack was launched on the AB2 gas compressor station, about 15 km northwest of Kirkuk.
It started when four gunmen with hand grenades broke through an external door, leaving two guards in critical condition.
Forces from the elite counter-terrorism service stormed the facility, regained control and freed 15 other employees who had hidden in a separate room.
